The City of Prince George Bylaw No. 7721, 2005, section 2.1.2 states that “No person shall operate a woodburning appliance in such a manner as to discharge air contaminants that are likely to cause or significantly contribute to the cause of injury or damage to human health, plant or animal life or property, or so as to unreasonably interfere with the enjoyment of life or property.”
This bylaw must surely mean something. Woodsmoke is likely to significantly damage human health and I for one do not enjoy my life or property during the calm, cold days when woodburners fill the air with smoke. More of us must do our part to make the air cleaner.
Stop burning wood. According to the bylaw you must. Woodburners have no right to interfere with clean air.
