PGAQ #29 (Cit) by Vic Steblin, March 29, 2008

2570 Laurier Crescent, Prince George, BC, 250-564-1123

I have noticed that my lungs seem to take a few days to get over an air advisory. This may be a mental issue as I am now aware of bad air. During the episode itself the lungs must be busy breathing in particles and storing them in moist mysterious depths. My throat seems to get a bit sore and my nostrils often crust over. Yet I still live in Prince George.

It is during the clean windy days that follow an advisory that my lungs seem at their worst. I will gradually cough up slimy wads of something every half hour for as many days as the advisory was on. Yet I still live in Prince George.

When I come back to Prince George after a few days or weeks I seem to choke on dust and smoke. It is everywhere, in my mind, in the back yard and even in the house. Yet I still live in Prince George.

Come to think of it, my nose and lungs usually have stuff in them whether I feel good or bad. It must be the air. And now I want to get out of Prince George.
