PGAQ #17(Cit) by Vic Steblin, Feb 27, 2008

2570 Laurier Crescent, Prince George, BC, 250-564-1123

Secret agent James Bond has a special license to kill for the greater good. It seems to me that many of the smoke stacks of Prince George operate under that same attitude. For the greater good of providing jobs they sacrifice those with breathing problems. The attitude is that people who can’t or don’t like the air of Prince George should just leave town. The mills were here first and they seem to exercise their right to pollute as they always have.

What about the residential wood burners and smokers in town? What greater good are they doing? Burning wood is a selfish act of trying to keep your own house warm instead of using extra clothes or electric blankets. So wood burners are even worse than the mills, or really bad!

And smokers don’t even care about their own or their children’s health, so they must be really, really bad. Many people and children cannot easily leave town or their home if they cannot handle smoke. To help society we must all butt out with all burning!
