During the last few years the air quality in Prince George became of greater concern. I decided to get involved by writing letters to newspapers and politicians. In my opinion residents can help the most by not burning wood.

These letters should not take long to read or scan. Most are against burning wood and the related biomass products like pellets. Many of the letters were further revised by others and members of my family.

The air quality of Prince George has improved only slightly over the years but there are recent good intentions by the Prince George Air Improvement Roundtable (PGAIR) that may lead to definite action and results.

Hopefully city council will also consider changing bylaws to make a cleaner Prince George. In my opinion wood burning should be banned at all times in city limits.
